Participants will learn more about the
program, the expectations and responsibilities of being a
participant and become acquainted with other members of the class. |
February 23
Leadership Retreat |
Cedar Creek Conference Center in New Haven,
MO.
Participants will participate in teambuilding programs,
focusing on communication, problem solving, mutual support, and
team goals. |
March 6
Education |
An introduction to public and private
education in Union; preschool through college. |
March 19
Healthcare & Social Services |
An introduction to the various services
available in our community. An
interactive activity may be included. |
April 3
Industry & Economic Development |
A visit to a local industry, and discussions
on development opportunities, employment issues and, it’s
relationship with city government |
April 14
City Government & Infrastructure |
A tour giving a wide ranging view of the
City, including it’s infrastructure. Participants will attend a
Board of Aldermen meeting and have the opportunity to see the
local governing officials in action. |

Graduation |
Leadership Graduation -- Participants qualify
for graduation after completing the orientation, the one day
retreat at Cedar Creek and at least 3 of the 4 sessions.
