Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program

The Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) provides a one-time payment up to $750 from October 1 through September 30, to help eligible households pay for their current or past due water and/or wastewater (sewer) bills, and disconnection and reconnection fees. DSS will make payments directly to the participating utility company.    Learn more


Utility payments are due upon receipt.  Payments must be received at City Hall (10 E. Locust Street) by the 15th of each month to avoid penalty. A drive-through drop box for water payments is located in the parking lot west of City Hall.  Payments may also be mailed or dropped off inside City Hall during regular business hours, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.

The City offers Direct Pay (automatic deduction from your checking/savings account) for water/sewer bills for your convenience.   The City does not charge for this service.
