Wellness Classes

Lifeforce Fitness offers a variety of wellness classes, including Yoga, Cardio Fitness, and Total Body Conditioning. Pre-register at the Parks & Recreation Department Office, located in the Lower Level of City Hall, at 500 East Locust Street, Union, MO 63084.

All wellness classes are held in the department's aerobic room (unless otherwise noted), located in the Lower Level of City Memorial Auditorium, at 500 East Locust Street, Union, 63084. Participants should enter the side door located near the corner of Linden St. and E. Springfield Ave.

Pre-registration is required.  Register online at https://union.recdesk.com/Community/Home.

Morning Yoga
The postures allow you to gain flexibility, tone your muscles, and enjoy the flow of breath within your body.  Develop a mind, body, and spirit connection and awaken yourself to a more relaxed and efficient lifestyle. No previous experience required. Bring your own mat. 

Mondays, 9:30-10:15 AM; $55.00 per session (6 classes)
Sept. 13 - Oct. 18, 2021

Yoga 
Learn how to include Yoga into your daily life. The postures allow you to gain flexibility, tone your muscles, and enjoy the flow of breath within your body. Develop a mind, body, and spirit connection and awaken yourself to a more relaxed and efficient lifestyle. This class will include the theory of Yoga plus exercises, breathing techniques. No previous experience required. Bring your own mat.

Morning  Fitness Buffet
Enjoy a different workout each time you come! This class will be a fusion of many types of activities such as: Tai Chi, Yoga, Chi gong, Freestyle dance, and strength training. Each class will address coordination, stretching, strengthening of the mind and body and stress release. This class is designed for all levels of fitness and is open to men, women, and teens. 

Thursdays, 9:30-10:15 AM; $55.00 per session (6 classes)
Sept. 16 - Oct. 21, 2021

Evening Fitness Buffet

Stretch,  Strength & Core
Improve your core strength, relieve back and joint pain. Work on posture and balance, while learning stretches you can use with any workout! This class is suitable for all levels of fitness and is open to men, women and teens.

Wednesdays, 5:00 - 5:45 PM; $55.00 per session (6 classes)
Sept. 15  -Oct. 20, 2021

Total Body Conditioning
Open to men, women and teens. This session is suitable for all levels of fitness. A continual mix of methods including aerobic/anaerobic circuits, explosive intervals, athletic drills, cardio-kick, sport conditioning, and pyramid training to boost the metabolic rate. This class is designed to strengthen and stabilize your muscles, develop balance and range of motion utilizing your own body weight, body balls, gliding discs, step platforms, medicine balls, and exercise tubing.
