Wellness Classes


Lifeforce Fitness offers a variety of wellness classes, including Yoga, Cardio Fitness, and Total Body Conditioning. Pre-register at the Parks & Recreation Department Office, located in the Lower Level of City Hall, at 500 East Locust Street, Union, MO 63084.

All wellness classes are held in the department's aerobic room (unless otherwise noted), located in the Lower Level of City Hall, at 500 East Locust Street, Union, 63084. Participants should enter the side door located near the corner of Linden St. and E. Springfield Ave.

Pre-registration is required by calling Park Office at 636-583-8471. Complete waiver and make payment one (1) week before class starts. Click to view/print program participant waiver form!

Morning Yoga
The postures allow you to gain flexibility, tone your muscles, and enjoy the flow of breath within your body.  Develop a mind, body, and spirit connection and awaken yourself to a more relaxed and efficient lifestyle. No previous experience required. Bring your own mat.

Strength Training for Fat Loss
This class is designed to increase your metabolism while maximizing fat loss by incorporating the three C's (circuits, combinations, and complexes). It will incorporate body weight, stability balls, bands, and other miscellaneous equipment.  This workout is suitable for all levels of fitness and no previous experience required. Open to men, women, and teens.

Luchtime Express
Come take a quick break from the office surroundings and take part in a class designed to take out the kinks (mentally and physically). This 30 minute class will help improve your strength, balance, and flexibility. Take that much needed noon break today?

Total Body Conditioning
Open to men and women, this session is suitable for all levels of fitness. A continual mix of methods including aerobic/anaerobic circuits, explosive intervals, athletic drills, cardio-kick, sport conditioning, and pyramid training to boost the metabolic rate. This class is designed to strengthen and stabilize your muscles, develop balance and range of motion utilizing your own body weight, body balls, gliding discs, step platforms, medicine balls and exercise tubing.

Intro to Yoga
This introductory class is designed to teach the yogic breath (pranayama), focus or gaze (drishti) and warmups (Sun Salutes). Your introduction to these basics will allow you to better enjoy your yoga practice and gain the most from your efforts. This is a great introductory class for anyone wishing to begin a yoga practice, or even just deepen your current practice.

Yoga 
Learn how to apply yoga into your daily life. The postures allow you to gain flexibility, tone your muscles, and enjoy the flow of breath within your body. Previous experience strongly suggested. Bring your own mat.

Core Strength & Stretch
Improve your core strength, relieve back and joint pain. Work on posture and balance, while learning stretches you can use with any workout! This class is suitable for all levels of fitness and is open to men, women and teens.

Get ready for your weekend fun in this upbeat class. Combinations of cardio-dance movements, freestyle dancing and some muscle conditioning, balance, and flexibility thrown in for good measure. All performed to motivating music of course! Come get your groove on.   This class is suitable for all levels of fitness and open to men, women, and teens.
