Water Fun at Union’s Splash -n- Swimplex

Union, MO - Union Parks and Recreation Department (UPRD) officially opens Splash -n- Swimplex for the 2019 summer season on Saturday, May 25 at noon. The facility celebrates the 23^rd year in operation this season, which was originally dedicated in 1996.

Splash -n- Swimplex, located at 375 West Park Avenue, is open seven days a week from 12-6pm through Sunday, August 18. The pool is open to everyone for a nominal daily fee; $4 for individuals 3 and up, children 2 and under are free with a paid adult. The admission fee is discounted two hours before close to $2. For those who plan on swimming a lot this summer, there are punch cards available for $40 for 20 visits.

Splash -n- Swimplex will have many special activities throughout the summer season. Group swim lessons and water aerobics are available through registration. Tot Time will be held Sundays from 6-7pm and Mondays and Wednesdays from 11am-12pm beginning June 3. Tot Time is a special time to give parents, grandparents or babysitters the opportunity to spend special time with their little ones, up to five years old, without all the hustle and bustle of the normal pool hours. The fee is $1 per child with a maximum of three children per adult. Senior Splash will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11am-12pm beginning June 4. Mature individuals, 55 years and older, are encouraged to take advantage of Senior Splash as a special time to exercise, relax and have fun, without all the hustle and bustle of the normal pool hours at no cost. Senior Splash will not be held on July 4. Lap Swim  will be held Sundays and Saturdays from 10:30am-12pm beginning June 8. Lap Swim is a special time to give individuals of all ages, time to swim laps for exercise and leisure. Adults must accompany and supervisor children that are lap swimming. The lap pool will be the only area open and must be utilize for lap swimming. The fee is $1 per person. On June 20, The World’s Largest Swimming Lesson & Pool Party will be held from 7-9pm and is free for families to participate. Registration is required.

There are private rental opportunities for every special occasion, such as birthday celebrations, family reunions, team parties and special achievements. Weeknight (Monday – Thursday) from 7:30-9:30pm, Sunday Evening from 7:00-9:00pm and Weekend Morning (Saturday & Sunday) from 9:30-11:30am rental options are available. There are different rental price points determined by the amount of guests, ranging from $220-$400.
