City of Union Breaks Ground on New City Hall
The new city hall is being built on the site of the former Fricks market at 10 E. Locust Street. Work actually began with the demolation of the Frick's building in August.
The project is estimated to take a little over a year with a targeted move-in date of October 2020.
The new city hall will be approximately 12,000 square feet and will house the city's administration, city clerk/collector's office, boardroom, court, meeting room, community development and engineering departments. The Parks department will remain in the current auditorium, which in the future will be partially renovated and upgraded.
