World Polio Day

Rotary club president, Angela Lairmore thanks Mayor Tappe for proclaiming October 24 as World Polio Day in the City of UnionUnion, Missouri – Rotary Club of Union would like to thank Mayor Tappe for passing the World Polio Day Proclamation, declaring October 24 to be World Polio Day in the City of Union. The city joins communities around the globe in celebrating Rotary's efforts to eradicated polio. 

To celebrate the special day, club members will be collecting donations for World Polio Day on Thursday, October 24 between 10am-7pm outside of Frick's Market, located at 401 Central Avenue, Union, MO. For every $1 the club raises, it will be matched 2-to-1 by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
