Union, Missouri – Union Parks & Recreation Department (UPRD) received a generous $750 donation from Midwest Petroleum Company for the annual Children’s Christmas Party. Angela Lairmore, Parks Director, accepted the donation on behalf of the department from District Manager Kyle Greenwell. Donations make the annual free community event possible.
Children’s Christmas Party is scheduled for Friday, December 6 from 6:30-9pm at Union’s City Auditorium, located at 500 E. Locust St. The event is designed for kids, ages 10 and under. Children of all ages must be supervised by parent/guardian at all times. There will be refreshments, face painting, balloon sculptors, picture's with Santa Claus (bring own camera) and every child (10 & under) will receive a gift. A new element for this year’s event is horse-drawn carriage rides around the square will be available. A donation of a can food item is requested to help stock the food pantry for the holiday season.
