Full time employees receive a comprehensive benefit package including: 100% health insurance for employee and 90% for dependents, 100% family dental insurance, and employer paid life insurance. Employees receive sick leave, 12.5 paid holidays, and 80 hours vacation after one year increasing to 120 hours after 10 years. The City of Union pays 100% for the LAGERS L-6 retirement package. LAGERS is the Local Government Employees Retirement System. This plan provides retirement benefits based in part upon years of service.
